Systems and Control

Spring 2007

MWF 2:00-2:50 PM, EGRA 0320

Course
description:

The objective of the course is to teach the basics of modeling and controller design for linear time-invariant systems. Transfer function and state space models of circuits and systems are studied.  Basic properties of feedback, PID control and stability concepts are covered.  Classical methods for control design such as root locus and frequency response are studied.  Modern control method of state space techniques are briefly introduced.  Matlab and Simulink programming for simulation of computer controlled dynamic systems are discussed. Projects on design and control of simple linear time-invariant systems are assigned.
